_Film Overview

 

Set in the 1980s on the banks of the Tigris River, the film follows Nizam, a boy who, after killing his father in a moment of rupture, is taken in by a broken village community. As he becomes increasingly exploited and isolated, he attempts to reinvent himself in the image of a lost heroic figure, blurring the line between identity, memory, and survival.

_Concept

 

The mood board explores a raw, atmospheric visual language rooted in rural landscapes, memory, and myth. Through desaturated tones, natural elements, and stark contrasts, it reflects themes of violence, isolation, and transformation. The aesthetic draws from arthouse cinema, balancing realism with a subtle, dreamlike quality.

_Process

 

The process focused on capturing the film’s harsh yet poetic tone through carefully curated imagery. A key challenge was balancing the physical reality of the setting with the character’s psychological transformation, without losing visual coherence.
